Play Therapy
Play Therapy
This is a method of psychotherapy focusing on exploring lives of children from 3 to 12 years old in a way that they are able to express their supressed thoughts and feelings freely through different plays.
Its objective is help children to learn how to talk about their feelings, needs and thoughts in a healthier and more peaceful way so that they can be more empathetic and skilled in coping with problems. Play therapy will teach children to have a better communication and behaviour, deal with social and emotional issues effectively, develop abilities to solve problems and have positive relationships. Therapeutic play suits children with unpleasant experiences of illness, hospitalization, molestation, trauma, family crisis, violence, bully and unsettling changes of environment. This therapy is also beneficial for children with learning difficulties, anxiety disorder, social problems, depression, grief, attention deficit disorder and autism.
